Access to Research Data Centres

The Canadian initiative on social statistics access to research data centres is a strategic joint initiative of SSHRC, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and Statistics Canada to promote research and training in the application of social statistics.

 

Applications may be submitted at any time. Results will be announced approximately five to eight weeks after submission.

Automotive Partnership Canada

Automotive Partnership Canada (APC) will provide $145 million in research funding over 5 years to support significant, collaborative research and development activities that will benefit the entire Canadian automotive industry.

 

This initiative is a partnership between five federal research and granting agencies, including SSHRC. Interested applicants and companies should start by contacting APC's Project Office in Mississauga, Ontario.

Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships

Open to both Canadian and international researchers who have recently completed a PhD, PhD-equivalent or health professional degree

College and Community Innovation Program

To increase innovation at the community and/or regional level by enabling Canadian colleges to increase their capacity to work with local companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises. The program supports applied research and collaborations that facilitate commercialization, as well as technology transfer and adaptation, and adoption of new technologies.

 

The program is managed by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) in collaboration with SSHRC and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

Digging into Data Challenge

The Digging into Data Challenge is sponsored by eight leading funders from four countries, including: SSHRC, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (United States), National Endowment for the Humanities (US), the National Science Foundation (US), the Joint Information Systems Committee (United Kingdom), the Economic and Social Research Council (UK), the Arts and Humanities Research Council (UK), and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research.
